Our Story
How It Began
Boags Creations began with my husband, Iain Boagey, and me shortly before he sadly passed away from cancer in July 2025.
Iain was incredibly excited about our plans for the business and was looking forward to being a huge part of it, even knowing that his time with us may be limited. Sadly, our machinery didn’t arrive until after he passed away, so he never had the opportunity to see everything we had planned become a reality.
After losing Iain, I made a promise to continue what we had started together and build Boags Creations as a legacy for our grandchildren.
THE LOGO
Every part of the logo
tells a piece of our story
Even the name has a special meaning. “Boags” was Iain’s nickname, taken from our surname, Boagey. Our logo was also created in his memory, and every part of it tells a piece of our story.
The many colours
The many colours represent the colours associated with different cancers.
The feather
The feather represents our shared love of birds — we used to breed birds together and they were a big part of our lives.
The clasped hands
The clasped hands represent Iain and me holding hands and facing life together.
The infinity symbol
The infinity symbol comes from something much more personal. Iain and I had an ongoing, lifelong argument about who loved the other more. Eventually, Iain decided he had found the perfect way to win and started telling me:
“I love you beyond infinity and eternity.”
More than machinery, ink and printing
So when you purchase something from Boags Creations, there is a lot more behind it than machinery, ink and printing. There is a story, a family, a promise and an enormous amount of love.
I take great pride in what I create and genuinely care about the people I create it for. I have old-school values and strongly believe in treating others the way I would like to be treated.
Every order matters to me, whether it is something for a business, a special gift, a memorial piece or simply an idea someone would love to bring to life. I put the same care and attention into my customers’ creations that I would want someone to put into my own.
I absolutely love what I do, and every time I create something through Boags Creations, a little piece of Iain continues this journey with me.
